Progress Requirement
Visual Communication Design BFA Program
Design faculty expect students to make satisfactory progress in their majors by prioritizing learning opportunities and goals as outlined in the curriculum and classroom syllabi. Therefore, all students are required to pass all design studio classes with a minimum grade of 2.5.
Receiving a grade below the 2.5 benchmark will result in an one-quarter probationary period (to be discussed during a mandatory consultation with faculty immediately following the course.) Continued failure to pass subsequent design studio courses with a minimum 2.5 grade will result in expulsion from the design major (the student will be ineligible to continue in subsequent design courses).
