Scholarships for New Freshmen & Transfer Students
The Crabby Beach Foundation Scholarships in Art and the Kathryn Hinckley-Martin Endowed Scholarship are awarded each fall to newly admitted (for autumn quarter) freshmen or transfer students who are interested in majoring in art, art history or design. Application for Autumn 2016 is now open. Deadline to apply is Monday August 29th, 2016.
Scholarships for Current Undergraduate Majors
SoA+AH+D SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
The annual Special Achievement Awards are presented in autumn to the top undergraduate students from each of the School’s three divisions. These awards honor students who demonstrate academic achievement, creative excellence, and outstanding performance in the School and at the University of Washington. A list of last year’s 2015 undergraduate scholarship recipients is available here.
Application & supporting materials are due Sunday May 1st, 2016. Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committees in mid-May. Results will be emailed to all applicants by the end of May.
To be eligible for an autumn quarter scholarship, you must be a student who:
– is a declared major in the School of Art + Art History + Design
– will be attending full time for at least two quarters of the 2016-17 academic year
– will not be graduating before Winter 2017

SoA+AH+D GRADUATING WITH EXCELLENCE AWARDS
The annual Graduating with Excellence Awards are given to the top undergraduate student from each of the School’s three divisions: Art, Art History and Design. These awards were created to acknowledge students whose academic achievements, creative excellence, and outstanding performance in the School and at the University of Washington put them at the top of their class.
Eligible undergraduate students are nominated for these awards by their faculty in Spring quarter. Recipients are honored at the School’s Graduation Celebration in June.
PILCHUCK SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP
Pilchuck Glass School and the SoA+AH+D offer a combined scholarship to cover the cost of a summer course at Pilchuck Glass School. Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate majors are eligible to apply. Application for Summer 2016 is now closed. Application for Summer 2017 will open in December 2016.
