Do you look for a particular type of work for the graduate portfolio review?
No. We have accepted a very broad range of approaches to photography, from straight b/w 35mm documentary work to mixed media installations. There is no aesthetic or epistemological litmus test, but we do look at the work for indications of visual and conceptual strength, demonstration of self-motivation, and ability to execute a body of work with intensity and commitment.


 
Does Seattle have a good public transportation system?
We have buses. Alot of buses.


 
Are there any photography galleries in Seattle?
There are a approximately 5 galleries that exhibit photographs exclusively and a number that include photography. The UW's Henry Art Gallery has an extensive photography collection. You may also visit our facilities area to learn about other resources.
