The Instructional Resource room houses the Art building's circulating
AV equipment and a digital imaging center that works with the Art Slide
Library (ASL) to create a digital image database. The Instructional Resource room is
overseen by the Director of Visual Services but regularly staffed by a
part-time supervisor and multiple student employees.
The Instructional Resource room has slide projectors, a video projector,
a TV/VCR and monitor, and a screen that can be checked out by faculty
and teaching assistants for use in any of the Art Building's classrooms.
A camcorder is available for SoA faculty or graduate students to use in
recording art-making processes, exhibits, or lectures. Two multimedia
projector and laptop units (1 Mac, 1 Windows) are available for class
presentations, to be checked out by students only. Room
309 has photography space and a copystand available to SoA students
and faculty; forms, fees, and appointments for this room are handled in
the Media Center.
