Using the Art Slide Library
Art & Design Faculty

Work Space:
One or two slide sorters marked Art & Design are available each quarter.
If these sorters are in use, a staff member will find you a place to work.
Since sorters must be shared by a number of people, slides should not be left on them.
A staff member will assist you with placing slides on hold if you need to continue a project later.

If you have a slide-intensive class, the ASL will assign you a work area.
You will not need to check out slides as long as all the slides you are using stay in the ASL.

Borrowing & Returning Slides:
Bring slides to the front desk and ask for assistance.
Fill out a green checkout slip while a staff member photocopies the slide mounts.
When returning slides, have a staff person check them in, and please stay to be sure your record is cleared.
Slides must be properly checked out, even when borrowing slides after hours.
Consult staff in advance if you are unsure how to photocopy the slide mounts.
Loan period: 1 week

Door codes:
SoA faculty may request door codes for after-hours access to the ASL.
Each person has a unique door code, and the codes should never be shared with anyone.
