The School of Art at the University of Washington offers students of all backgrounds a unique opportunity to study art, art history, and design during Summer 2008.

Take a Class!

During summer quarter our nationally recognized faculty are joined by visiting artists to teach classes in studio art, art history and design that are open to everyone interested in participating in a challenging visual art experience.

Harness your inner creative, and make the most out of your summer! The School of Art encourages all students, regardless of major or previous experience, to take classes summer quarter.

How Do I Register?

Current UW Students

Students enrolled as degree-seeking students at the UW may register using the MyUW system - just as you would during the regular school year. Summer registration begins April 21, 2008.

Community Members and other Non-Degree Seeking Students

Not a UW Student? No problem! Simply enroll as a Summer-Only student through UW Summer Quarter. More information and application information is available from the Summer Quarter website.

Summer Experience

Student work from studio art and design courses (ART) will be selected to represent the UW Summer Quarter Art Experience Exhibition in the Jacob Lawrence Gallery on August 21st.
