Robert Mintz
In May, the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco announced that Robert Mintz (MA 1995, PhD 2002) has been appointed as the new Deputy Director, Art & Programs. He begins work there on July 5, 2016. Mintz has been at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, since 2006. Read more

Ten students were recognized with awards at our Graduation Celebration on June 11. One of the students, Tzyy Yi (Amy) Young, also was the recipient of the Arts & Sciences 2016 Dean's Medal in the Arts. Read more

Matahoata exhibition catalog cover
Carol Ivory (MA 1982, PhD 1990) began seriously studying the art of the Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia, while a PhD student. She has recently curated the most comprehensive exhibition to date on this topic at Musée du Quai Branly in Paris. Read more
Kathryn Bunn-Marcuse
The School is very pleased to announce the hiring of two tenure-track faculty who begin teaching in early 2017. We have also hired five full-time lecturers who will teach during the 2016-2017 academic year. Read more
