Artist Trust announced $137,500 in awards on 16 May 2013. The Irving and Yvonne Twining Humber Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement went to Norie Sato (MFA 1974). It provides “$10,000 to a Washington State female visual artist, age 60 or over, who has dedicated 25 or more years of her life to creating art.”

Seventeen Artist Trust Fellowships of $7,500 each were also handed out to “Washington State artists of exceptional talent, demonstrated ability, professional achievement and continuing dedication to an artistic discipline.” 3D4M Assistant Professor Amie McNeel received one of these. Alumni Leo Berk (MFA 1999) and Saya Moriyasu (BA/BFA 1991) were also winners.

Congratulations to all!
