Interaction Design Assistant Professor Tad Hirsch is one of several people participating in this exhibition. On the show’s webpage it says, “Mw [Moment Magnitude] is an ambitious cross-platform project of visual art, performance, production, rehearsal, specially commissioned artworks, music, dance, literary events, design, and arts engagement programs showcasing exceptional artistic practice in Seattle.” A number of alumni are also part of this exhibition: Leo Saul Berk (MFA 1999), Matt Browning (BFA 2007), Anne Fenton (BFA 2004), and Juniper Shuey (BFA 2001). If we have missed someone, please let us know.

Hirsch’s portion of the exhibition, a project titled Intangible Effects (No. 1), debuted at the Frye Art Museum in December 2012. On Saturday, January 12, there will be a day of celebration for the Yesler Terrace youth who worked on this project with Hirsch as well as MDes students Mike Fretto and Kari Gaynor.
