In May, two local arts awards announced their finalists with the winners to be revealed in a few months. As often happens, our alumni are among the finalists.
The Neddy at Cornish selects four finalists in two categories. Kimberly Trowbridge (MFA 2006) is one of the finalists in the Painting category. Whether or not she wins, her work will be part of the exhibition in the Cornish Main Gallery that will be up from 03 September – 18 October 2014.
There are five categories for The Stranger’s Genius Awards, with three finalists in each. Emily Gherard (MFA 2004) and Glenn Rudolph (BFA 1968) are both finalists in the Visual Arts category. The Genius finalists will be interviewed in a series at the Frye Art Museum, with the Visual Arts night being September 3rd. Winners in each category are announced at a party on October 18th.
