Early in December 2015, links were added to Division of Design pages on the School website directing people to a new microsite documenting statistics about Design alumni. This is the culmination of a multi-year project spearheaded by Professor Karen Cheng and involving a number of students:
Initial visual design for statistics through 2008 was done by Joey Flynn and Xiang Ling, both bachelor’s degree students in Design who graduated in 2009.
Jason Petz (MDes 2014) updated this initial visual design, helped to survey more recent alumni up through 2013, and he added new infographics, such as the Sankey flow diagrams. Petz also did some preliminary work adapting the existing and new infographics for the web platform.
Chad Hall (MDes expected 2016) progressed Petz’s web design concept to its final form. He also did all the webpage production work.
Programming for the website was done by Josh Klekamp, who started the MDes program in autumn 2014 but decided to depart graduate school for a position at Digital Kitchen.
Here are the links if you want to go directly to the statistics for a specific Division of Design program:
If you are a Design alumnus/alumnae, never completed a survey, and would like to have your information included in future updates to this site, please take the survey here. To update anything you submitted in the survey, please email Professor Cheng.
