Join us for the opening reception on May 30, 7-9pm, and the closing reception during the First Thursday Art Walk on Thursday, June 6, 6-9pm.

Another Day at The Orifice features the cumulative thesis work of eight graduates receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photo/Media, Painting + Drawing, and 3D4M: ceramics + glass + sculpture:

  • FS Bàssïbét
  • Rachel Dorsey
  • Amara Eke
  • Ren Han
  • Michael Hong
  • Ali Meyer
  • Kevin Phan

Throughout their programs, these MFA graduates worked with their advisors and other artists to develop advanced techniques, expand concepts, discuss critical issues, and emerge with a vision and direction for their own work.

About the Location

The 2024 MFA Thesis Exhibition is at RailSpur (top floor), a 14,000 square foot space inside a historic 1906 brick building at 419 Occidental Avenue South. The entrance to the top floor is through the alley (follow direction signs). There is wheelchair access throughout the building. Visit the event page to view exhibition hours.

Getting to RailSpur

The RailSpur building is readily accessible via public transportation—Metro bus lines, the Light Rail (International District/Chinatown Station), and the First Hill Streetcar. Garage and street parking are also available in the area. It is highly recommended to use public transit, specially on game days and during the Pioneer Square First Thursday Art Walk. Note: RailSpur has other nearby buildings, please make sure to use "419 Occidental Avenue South" for most accurate directions to ally entrance.
