Active Art History Graduate Students
MA and PhD students in the Division of Art History are often busy with research, writing, presentations, and projects. We report on the recent and upcoming activities of five continuing students and two newly-minted PhDs.
2016 Graduation + Teaching Awards
Ten students were recognized with awards at our Graduation Celebration on June 11. One of the students, Tzyy Yi (Amy) Young, also was the recipient of the Arts & Sciences 2016 Dean's Medal in the Arts.

Painting + Drawing Professor Zhi Lin received an RRF Scholar award and will have an exhibit at Tacoma Art Museum next year. Read more

Barbara Earl Thomas (BFA 1973, MFA 1977) received the Twining Humber Award from Artist Trust, is a nominee for a Stranger Genius Award, and will soon open an exhibition at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Read more
Robert Mintz (MA 1995, PhD 2002) will soon become the Deputy Director, Art & Programs, at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. Read more
Susan Robb (MFA 1995) is a consultant for the City of Seattle to create a public art plan for downtown. Read more
