My name is Chave Pichardo and I am a photo-based Queer Chicané artist from Southern California. My work explores identity in relationship to societal norms and expectations. As a Chicané creator, whose identity lives between converging intersections, I embrace these differences through my work. As a graduate student I look forward to continue making work that displays intersectionality and invites the viewer to engage the works interactively. I also plan to make more work for the community and create spaces that foster a communal mindset.
