As the Advising Program Coordinator, Jason supports the Advising office with front desk and other administrative duties. The program coordinator serve as the first point of contact via phone, email and in-person; answers questions, provides information, and directs inquiries to the appropriate individual or office, and maintains the academic calendar, schedules appointments for advisers. Additionally, the program coordinator collaborates individually and as a group with four academic advisers on a range of specific projects, events, and initiatives. This includes but is not limited to: Supporting the graduate student application, recruitment, and orientation Coordinates the annual Graduation Celebration Leads regular Preview Informational Sessions for prospective students and their families Helps manage the annual scholarship and award process Supports plans for the annual presentation of scholarships and organizes meetings for the Art Scholarship Committee Organizes adviser participation during Summer and Winter new student orientation
