Nate Watson is a San Francisco based artist, educator, and community activist with a practice that ranges from photographs, architectural interventions and poetic imagery, to collaborative projects with the collective, Related Tactics, investigating and producing creative projects, opportunities and interventions at the intersection of race and culture. Recent projects include works for the Museum of Capitalism (New York iteration), Wexner Center for the Arts (upcoming), Berkeley Art Center, and the SF Chinese Culture Center. The Related Tactics publication intervention, Shelf Life, is distributed through Sming Sming Books and their latest essay, “The Whiteness of Glass,” was commissioned and published in the latest edition of the Corning Museum of Glass’s New Glass Review. Nate will join the 3D4M program as a visiting lecturer during the autumn 2022 through spring 2023 academic year. He previously taught at the California College of Art and San Francisco State University.
