October 23 – November 10, 2012
reception: 4-7pm | Friday, November 9
Jacob Lawrence Gallery

In conjunction with the Seattle Art Museum’s show, Elles: Women Artists of the Centre Pompidou, Paris, curators Susie J. Lee (MFA 2006) and Kolya Rice (Lecturer, Art History) have orchestrated an intensive exhibition. Soft Power, Activated expands the definition of the gallery beyond a repository of objects, and it will get students involved with some of Seattle’s most dynamic cultural stewards. Nearly every day of the exhibition, Soft Power, Activated will present a new project, intimate gathering, performance, or interview.

Below is a list of events. Gallery hours are normally Wed-Sat, 12-4pm, but note that many of the times listed are outside of those hours. Additional information about each event is on the exhibition’s Facebook page; specific event links are provided below. These Facebook pages are public, so an account is not needed to view them. Event times are subject to change, so check back regularly.
