Visual Communication Design faculty member and Donald E. Petersen Professor in the Arts Karen Cheng will give a talk titled “Designing Data,” which will present and discuss a wide range of data graphics, touching upon the nature of the design process, and the hidden poetry and beauty within these information artifacts. This lecture is sponsored by ARCADE and is part of the Seattle Design Festival.
The topic of the lecture is related to issue 31.4 of ARCADE, which is being edited by Cheng and includes the work of several alumni. The launch party for this issue is on 12 September 2013.
