Three faculty are involved with presentations at the College Art Association (CAA) conference this year in New York City. CAA is an organization of over 12,000 individual artists, art historians, scholars, curators, critics, collectors, educators, publishers, and related professionals in the visual arts; there are another 2,000 institutional members.

February 11: presenting a paper titled “Mondrian’s Studio Utopia” in a session titled “The Studio History of Art”

Sonal Khullar, Assistant Professor, Division of Art History
February 14: chairing a session sponsored by the American Council for Southern Asian Art titled “Art Lovers and Literaturewallahs: Communities of Image and Text in South and Southeast Asia”

Tad Hirsch, Assistant Professor, Division of Design
February 14: presenting a paper titled “Terminal by Degrees: Rethinking Graduate Design Education” in a session sponsored by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA)
