The Jacob Lawrence Gallery is hosting an exhibition by Division of Design Assistant Professor Tad Hirsch from September 22 – October 17, 2015. Titled Contentious Products, the show includes two installations addressing contemporary gun culture, created with custom software written by Hirsch, as well as video documentation of multiple interventionist works from the last fifteen years; also included is an award-winning project addressing human trafficking, developed in collaboration with students. Additional information about Hirsch is in the calendar entry for the exhibition.
Hirsch and Division of Design Lecturer Dominic Muren will each give presentations in October as part of the faculty promotion process. Below are the dates and times; each lecture is in the Henry Art Gallery auditorium and will be followed by a reception. Please note that seating is limited, so we are encouraging people to register.
