On February 11, 2016, Alaska Airlines announced that Luly Yang (BFA Design 1990) had been selected to design new uniforms for all Alaska employees. The airline posted a blog entry the same day that includes a video about the partnership and a slideshow of their uniforms from the 1940s to the 2010s.
Moira Macdonald of the Seattle Times wrote an article on February 29, with some additional information about the research and design process. The Daily of the University of Washington posted an article the next day. It talks about her background and time as a student. Yang, and our Director of Academic Advising + Student Services, Judi Clark, also provide some advice to current students.
