IVA Exhibition: Strangely Still

Submitted on May 28, 2021 - 11:08am

Students in Timea Tihanyi's ART 400 (Interdisciplinary Visual Art Senior Studio) are wrapping up a rather unusual year with their online capstone exhibition, Strangely Still. After 15 months of remote classes, each artist has come to find their unique medium, content, and visual style and has developed that with self-confidence and passion. In their final quarter at the UW, these graduating seniors embarked on various ambitious projects, such as creating 3D animations, video diaries, web comics, graphic novels, and artist books. In this rich and diverse exhibition, digital media is complemented by intricately crafted tactile soft sculptures as well as collages, paintings, and sculptural assemblages. Together they offer a refreshing look on making art in 2021.

In addition to the online gallery, each student's name links to their artist portfolio webpage, also created for the senior studio class.
