Ballard Food Bank
"Community anchor Ballard Food Bank served Seattle for almost five decades by providing food, support, and essential services, before expanding into their new home, a “Hub for Hope” designed by Graham Baba Architects. We developed their new brand to exemplify their renewed mission: providing critical services that extend far beyond food." —Studio Matthews website
During the summer, this project was designated as a Runner Up for the Design for Social Impact Award as part of the Core77 Design Awards 2022.
In September, this project won the Communication Arts award in the category of Design – Environmental – Politics / Social issues. The long-standing Comm Arts competition is one of the toughest in the industry: this year only 145 projects were honored out of over 3300 entries. The 2022 printed annual is now available, and all of the winners are shown on the Communication Arts website.
Asurion Global HQ
When Hastings Architects began the design of Asurion’s new 565,000 sf global headquarters in Nashville, they brought us on board to weave the company’s story of help through the building’s public and work spaces, inspiring visitors as well as the Asurion workforce. The new Gulch Hub encompasses two nine-story connected towers and six levels of parking. —Studio Matthews website
The Core77 Design Awards 2022 designated this project as Notable for the Visual Communication Design Award.
