Hiring Director + Curator of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery

The University of Washington School of Art + Art History + Design is accepting applications for the Director + Curator of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery position, a full-time opportunity for an experienced and innovative art leader to carry through the legacy of artist and former University of Washington professor, Jacob Lawrence.

The new Director + Curator will lead the re-emergence and visibility of the gallery locally and nationally, providing curatorial, programming, and administrative leadership and oversight in a newly renovated state-of-the-art exhibition space within the School of Art + Art History + Design at the UW Seattle campus.

To be considered for this full-time permanent position, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications, including a bachelor’s degree in art, art history or related field and a minimum of four years of arts administration and curatorial experience. Those with a strong commitment to equity and social justice in the arts are strongly encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate based on experience with a range between $5,447 - $6,500 per month, plus a generous benefits package.
