Each year the School proudly celebrates graduating Art and Design students — both undergraduate and graduate — with a series of exhibitions in April, May, and June.


BA in Art Graduation Exhibitions

April 23 – May 31
Jacob Lawrence Gallery

The Jacob Lawrence Gallery and the School of Art + Art History + Design present Departing Figures: BA in Art Exhibitions, featuring the work of the 2024 graduating class in the BA in Art programs: 3D4M: ceramics + glass + sculpture, Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, Painting + Drawing, and Photo/Media. Students work closely with the gallery's curatorial team to present their senior capstones in one of three group shows that run for two weeks at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery.

UW Design Show

The Jacob Lawrence Gallery and the Division of Design present the UW Design Show 2024,  featuring students receiving a Bachelor of Design (BDes) in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, and Visual Communication Design. This year, the Master in Design (MDes) graduates will showcase their thesis work as part of the Design Show. 


MFA Thesis Exhibition

May 30 – June 9
RailSpur
Opening Reception: Thursday, May 30, 7:30-9:30pm

The Division of Art presents the cumulative thesis work of the 2024 Master of Fine Art (MFA) graduates: David Braun, Free Bàssïbét, Rachel Dorsey, Amara Eke, Ren Han, Michael Hong, Ali Meyer, and Kevin Phan. Closing reception on June 6 (first Thursday) from 6–9:30pm.
