Tzyy Yi (Amy) Young

Oversees the safety, facilities, and equipment plus orders and manages supplies in the Glass area of 3D4M.  Started in the role as Instructional Technician: 3D4M (Glass) in September 2023. 

Tzyy Yi (Amy) Young is a School alum: 

• Recipient of the 2016 College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Medal in the Arts
• Selected by the Division of Art for a 2016 Parnassus Graduating with Excellence Award
• Finalist in the 2016 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale
• Chosen for art residencies at Penland and Haystack for summer 2016
• Earned a full scholarship to study at Pilchuck Glass School in summer 2015
• Selected to represent the UW at the 2015 Rometti Prize competition organized by the Manifattura Ceramiche Rometti in Umbertide, Italy; the work she produced there earned her the third place prize
• Her Rometti work was shown at the Maison et Object Fair in Paris where she received the Roche Bobois Design Award, which includes having her work produced in their factory and sold in stores internationally
