Honors in Art

Program Overview

In their junior year, art majors become eligible to apply for the honors program. The Honors in Art program provides students the opportunity to complete an advanced degree with a set of experiences that encourage diverse collaborations, innovation, and work across programmatic boundaries. This peer group of students set the standard for excellence in the school and amplify the importance of community amongst dedicated creatives on campus. The rigor of participating in this program more adequately prepares students to apply for local, national and international awards and distinctions.

The Honors in Art program offers strong faculty mentorship, opportunities to participate with graduate level coursework and further supports students as they engage with the artworld beyond campus. In addition, to bolster the development of student artwork the honors program provides private shared studio spaces to students in their final year.
