2016 Seattle Art Fair + Gallery Shows

Both Seattle Art Fair and Out of Sight return for a second year. As happened in 2015, a number of galleries have summer exhibits that overlap.

Seattle Art Fair

August 4–7, 2016
CenturyLink Field Event Center

The School of Art + Art History + Design is once again a cultural partner of the fair. Because of this, we are able to offer access to discounted Opening Night Tickets ($35 instead of $50) and 2 for 1 Fair Passes (multi-day tickets). Redeem this offer.

Here are the School-related people being shown at the Fair:

Abmeyer + Wood Fine Art is showing Professor Emerita Patti Warashina (BFA 1962, MFA 1964) in booth C28.

Adams and Ollman includes Ellen Lesperance (BFA 1995) in booth C1.

Bridge Productions has Emily Gherard (MFA 2004), Julie Alpert (MFA 2008), and Dave Kennedy (MFA 2013) in booth A28.

G. Gibson Gallery (owner, BFA 1985) is showing Professor Emeritus Robert C. Jones in booth C5. On the gallery's website, they say that Eirik Johnson (BFA 1997) will also be shown.

Greg Kucera Gallery (owner, BFA 1980) includes Roger Shimomura (BFA 1961) and Margie Livingston (MFA 1999) in booth A15.

Marlborough Gallery is featuring Dale Chihuly (BFA 1965) in booth D13.

Michael Rosenfeld Gallery is showing the late Professor Emeritus Jacob Lawrence in booth D9.

Season, in booth B17, is owned by Robert Yoder (MFA 1987).

Upfor Gallery includes Rodrigo Valenzuela (MFA 2012) in booth B9.

Woodside/Braseth Gallery includes the late Professor Emeritus Jacob Lawrence, Barbara Earl Thomas (BFA 1973, MFA 1977), and the late Professor Emeritus George Tsutakawa (BFA 1937, MFA 1950) in booth B21.

Abmeyer + Wood: Bodies + Beings has work by 3D4M Professor Doug Jeck, George Rodriguez (MFA 2009), and 3D4M Professor Emeritus Akio Takamori; runs July 13 – August 27.

Center for Architecture & Design: BOOM: Changing Seattle includes Eroyn Franklin (BFA 2006), Paul Komada (BFA 2000), and Rodrigo Valenzuela (MFA 2012); runs July 7 – August 29.

Core: shows work by Mary Enslow (BFA 2003) during August.

Facèré Jewelry Art Gallery: Funny Business: Making Mischief includes Anne Davern (BA 1998); runs July 27 – August 17.

Greg Kucera Gallery: Too Soon for Hindsight is a solo show by Margie Livingston (MFA 1999); runs July 7 – August 20.

Linda Hodges Gallery: In Sight includes Alfredo Arreguin (BFA 1967, MFA 1969), Polina Tereshina (BFA 2013), and Interdisciplinary Visual Arts Senior Lecturer Timea Tihanyi (MFA 2003); runs August 4–27.

MadArt Studio: Portfolio of Possibilities is the work of 3D4M Professors Amie McNeel and Mark Zirpel along with collaborator Sam Stubblefield; runs July 24 – August 27.

Plus, there is a Seattle Art Fair Satellite Exhibition titled In Context that includes work by Pat De Caro (MFA 1982), Emily Gherard (MFA 2004), Mary Ann Peters (MFA 1977), and Barbara Robertson (MFA 1979); runs August 4–7.

Amanda Parker (BFA 2011) and Krisna Schumann (BFA 2012) are among the artists in Placiness at '57 Biscayne; runs August 4–7.
