MoNA Luminaries

The Museum of Northwest Art held its third annual Luminaries Artist Awards event on September 13, 2017. Four Legacy Artists were honored, and four additional artists were presented awards in the names of the Legacy Artists. Each Luminary winner received an honorarium and invitiation to exhibit their work in a group show at MoNA

Two of the award winner have School ties:

Painting + Drawing Professor Zhi Lin won the Robert McCauley Award for Painting.

C. Davida Ingram, who will hold the 2018 Jacob Lawrence Legacy Residency at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery, was given the Marita Dingus Award for Innovative Media.

A Lifetime Contribution to Northwest Art Award was also presented that evening. It went to Professor Emeritus Michael Spafford and his wife, artist Elizabeth Sandvig.
