Romero earned his BFA degree from Brigham Young University–Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho, and participated in a one-year Post Baccalaureate program at the University of Florida. Afterward, he worked as a Resident Artist / Studio Technician at San Diego State University for two years. He has sold and shown work in states across the country including Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and California. He has also taught community ceramic courses and has years of experience as a studio assistant to established artists.
