Thesis work

  • Selected by the Division of Design for a 2016 Parnassus Graduating with Excellence Award
  • Worked as a research assistant for two years on projects to improve food at childcare centers and support the care of people with multiple chronic conditions
  • Co-presented and co-published two papers with Professor Tad Hirsch at the Designing Interactive Systems (DIS 2016) conference in Brisbane, Australia
  • Collaborated with immigration activists and won a Sappi Ideas that Matter grant for Archivo
  • Her team was selected to represent the Division of Design at the 2015 Microsoft Design Expo; their project, Loom, won the prize for "most emotionally engaging"
  • She is learning Chinese and continuing research in building systems to improve chronic illness care
