In May, the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco announced that Robert Mintz (MA 1995, PhD 2002) has been appointed as the new Deputy Director, Art & Programs. He begins work there on July 5, 2016.

Mintz has been at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, since 2006. He has been the Curator of Asian Art for ten years. He added the role of Chief Curator in 2012. In addition to his curatorial/administrative work and publishing for the museum, Mintz has lectured for Smithsonian Resident Associates and taught at Baltimore area universities.
