Visual Communication Design alum Natalie O’Rourke (BDes 2024) was the guest designer ARCADE’s latest print journal. Issue 41.2: Collaboration was launched on November 22nd.
For Collaboration, ARCADE partnered with the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments Architecture Writing class, taught by Lauren Gallow, and published eight student essays on a topic or design project of their choice. The Collaboration Issue brings the theme of “collaboration” to life through the pairing of each essay with a professional or mentor currently working in the field who is adjacent to the student’s topic.
As the guest designer for the issue, O’Rourke worked to intertwine the introductions with the corresponding student essay to create an engaging flow for readers. Each spread was thoughtfully crafted to highlight all the hard work that was done to make the issue a reality. O'Rourke is a visual designer, photographer, game enthusiast, and passionate music fan. She strives to create visuals that encourage folks to engage with their creativity.
During her time as a student, O'Rourke worked as a School Photographer and helped us document many events and student activities. We are excited to witness Natalie's post-college accomplishments.
