Julianna joined the School of Art + Art History + Design in 2013. She departed in July 2021 to become the Assistant to the Dean in the College of Arts & Sciences.

She has worked at the University of Washington since 2000 including positions at the Information School, Human Centered Design & Engineering, Harborview Medical Center, and Academic Human Resources. She has worked in the non-profit arts sector in Seattle as a dancer, costume designer, and in theatre production, and as a freelance jewelry designer. She has a background in visual and performing arts.

Julianna provides executive support to the Director of the School and manages faculty HR, providing advice and counsel regarding College, University, and State policies and procedures related to all aspects of faculty academic life. Julianna also serves as chair of the School's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Committee, is on the College of Arts & Sciences Arts Diversity Committee, and the UW Departmental Diversity Committee.
