AUT 23 TOPIC IS "PUSHING COLOR. DESIGNED TO AUGMENT STUDENTS' STUDIO PRACTICE AND EXPAND UNDERSTANDING OF COLOR FORMALLY, THEMATICALLY, CONCEPTUALL AND MATERIALLY. STUDENTS MUST ATTEND THE FIRST DAY CLASS IN ORDER TO REMAIN ENROLLED. PRIORITY GIVEN TO STUDENTS IN THE PD CONCENTRATION. IVA STUDENTS WITH INSTRUCTOR PERMISSION.
Catalog Description:
Focuses on developing content-driven individual projects in painting as a medium, its history, and relationship to contemporary discourse and practices. Research, group presentations, frequent lectures, demos, individual and group critiques accompany short and long-term projects. Topics vary. Prerequisite: ART 390 and ART 393.
