THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO STUDENTS IN THE PHOTOMEDIA CONCENTRATION, WHO HAVE COMPLETED ART 240. STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE QUARTER TO REMAIN ENROLLED. NO ACCESS OR NONMATRICULATED STUDENTS.
Catalog Description:
Studio-based course. Utilizing social media, video, and critique skills, students learn the importance of art-making in today's culture. Introduction to installation and performance art. Investigates contemporary contexts in which art is produced and presented. Relies on philosophical teachings and artistic practices of everyday life as a guide. Prerequisite: ART 240.
