Fulbright for Miller
Alum Miles Miller has been selected for a Fulbright Fellowship. He will be doing research in South Korea on the indigenous innovations and modernization of traditional Korean residential architecture, design, and craft.

Anne Focke Arts Leadership Award Celebration
This spring, 150 friends of the School gathered for the Anne Focke Arts Leadership Award Celebration. Nearly $70,000 was raised in support of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery during the event and will be matched by an anonymous donor.

Husky 100
Each year, the University of Washington recognizes 100 students from across all three campuses. Just-graduated Art History MA students Juan Franco Ricardo and Miha Sarani were both selected for 2019.

Artist Trust Awards
Alum Sherry Markovitz received the Twining Humber Award for Lifetime Achievement. Alums Joe Feddersen and Kristen Ramirez won fellowships, and spring quarter faculty member Romson Bustillo won a fellowship along with a residency in Bali.

Untethered
This Jacob Lawrence Gallery exhibition showcases recent augmented reality and virtual reality student projects. A reception and lecture take place on March 12. The exhibition is open March 11 through 18.

Strange Coupling
A student-run Division of Art tradition, Strange Coupling brings together UW students and Seattle-area artists to create collaboratively. There are auctions at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery on March 7 and a concluding exhibition on June 8 + 9.

Chinese culture inspires designer in creating uniforms for major U.S. airline
