Industrial Design Associate Professor Sang-gyeun Ahn is co-PI on a project that will develop a modular kit to modify wheelchairs for the safe use of public restrooms. They have received Amazon Catalyst funding.

Roberts Wins Swiss Award

3D4M Lecturer Kate Roberts was invited to participate in this year's Parcours Céramique Carougeois in Switzerland. She built Gate to nowhere on site, and she won the Fondation Bruckner Award.

Graham Boettcher (MA 1999) was recently appointed as the new R. Hugh Daniel Director at the Birmingham Museum of Art. He has served the museum in several roles since 2006.

Professor Emeritus Francis Celentano passed away on November 20, 2016. He joined the faculty at the UW in 1966 and retired from teaching in 1993. A memorial gathering is planned for January 28 in the Jacob Lawrence Gallery.
