Chuanzhe (Bill) Xiong is committed to using design as a tool to craft better products and user experiences, ultimately improving people’s lives. Through his thesis project, LoopLab, he integrates NFC technology into fashion brands’ e-commerce platforms to streamline the resale process. By embedding NFC tags directly into garments, LoopLab simplifies the collection of product details, facilitating an easier resale experience and promoting sustainable consumer practices. The project enhances the lifecycle of garments by enabling direct resale through brand-specific apps and supporting circular fashion initiatives. Through LoopLab, Bill demonstrates how technology and design can work together to minimize environmental impact and transform fashion consumption.
