ART 240        Intermediate Photomedia

Learning Goals: 
* increase your understanding of light and photography
* increase your knowledge of photographic equipment: cameras, scanners, strobes and printers
*introduction to historical and contemporary materials and processes in photography 
* assist in developing ways to think creatively, critically, analytically 
* to experiment and push yourself with the assignments given 
* to clearly articulate ideas, questions and observations about your own and other students’ work 
* increased understanding of your own potential as an artist

Grading:
Grading is based on the quality of your assignments, participation, effort and creativity.

Catalog Description: 
Includes studio projects examining the expressive and conceptual uses of alternative photographic materials and techniques. May include and introduction to photography, large format, and studio lighting. Prerequisite: ART 140.
