Charles Edenshaw art
Opening on 26 October 2013 at the Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) is an exhibition co-curated by Art History Professor Robin Wright. Titled Charles Edenshaw, it features the work of a famous Haida artist who lived from 1839 to 1920. Wright has been working on the exhibition since 2010. To celebrate the opening, there is an afternoon symposium in which Wright is participating. During Autumn Quarter 2013, the School of Art has several faculty being considered for tenure and promotion. A series of lectures and exhibits has been organized to highlight their work. All exhibits are in the Jacob Lawrence Gallery; hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 12-4pm. Five of the six lectures are in the Henry Art Gallery auditorium; Wang’s lecture is in the Art Building.
