Mandy Greer's art
Greer (MFA 1999) has been chosen as one of two artists to receive a 2012 Arts Innovator Award from Artist Trust. Philip Govedare
The Nisqually Earthquake in 2001 changed the focus of Professor Philip Govedare’s paintings. He was at the College Art Association conference in Chicago during the earthquake. On television, he saw the historic brick building at 2nd Avenue and Jackson Street being used as an example of the structures that were badly damaged by the quake. Wit and Wisdom: Patti Warashina book cover
Patti Warashina: Wit and Wisdom s an extensively illustrated catalog that provides a career retrospective for this well-known alumna (BFA 1962, MFA 1964) and professor emerita. The book also conveys some interesting history about the School of Art. It was written ;by another professor emerita, Martha Kingsbury. Many artists would not be interested in a residency where the studio is in the corner of a hot, noisy, dusty factory floor. However, two School of Art faculty were eager for the opportunity, which benefited them and, ultimately, their students. Read more

William Ingham is an alumnus of the School of Art and a successful painter, but his accomplishments have not caused him to forget what it was like to be an art student.
